William Ahad Oriental Rugs is family owned and operated and has been *serving the Greater Houston area for over 40 years.* Ahad, the founder of William Ahad Oriental Rugs, started his career as an Oriental Rug Restoration and Repairman at the Rug Bazaar of Tehran back in 1958. After many years of hard work and becoming an expert and experienced repairman in all kinds of Persian and Oriental Rugs, Ahad decided to immigrate to the United States in 1972 and moved to Houston, TX. He started working as a rug restorative at Barazandeh's Persian Rug Store and few years later, he moved to Sahadi's Rug Gallery to enhance his skills and knowledge. In 1980, Ahad started his own business and named it "Persian Rug Workshop", and after his first born son, William, he changed the name to "William Ahad Oriental Rugs". Today, Ahad and William are working together hand in hand and William, Ahad's son, has been assisting and supporting his father since 1992 in every aspect of this journey, and learning all the skills and talents in the Persian and Oriental Rug industry.
