Cottles products are manufactured from thermally treated Black Spruce grown in the northern parts of Newfoundland. The lumber is produced in our own sawmill and has very good strength characteristics. The tight growth rings give the product a very nice lively and rich appearance. The addition of thermal treatment increases wood stability, resistance to rot and decay from bacteria and fungus. It is a very natural and chemical free building product suited for indoor and outdoor applications.
