WNC Polygraph & Investigative Services, LLC is owned and operated by Scott D. Aldridge. We are located in the North Carolina mountains near Asheville and routinely provide services for all points west and north of Charlotte. I want to thank you for dropping by WNC Polygraph and taking your valuable time to learn more about my business.
I am a native of the Western North Carolina mountains and have lived most of my life in "God's Country". I spent my formative years in Avery County and now reside with my wife and daughter in Haywood County, near Waynesville.
I graduated from Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement. I served as a N.C. State Probation Officer for seven years in Charlotte, NC, Hendersonville, NC and Asheville, NC. I was then hired as a United States Probation Officer and was stationed in Bryson City, NC for three years. I transferred to the U. S. Probation Office in Asheville, NC and remained in Asheville until my retirement after twenty two years of service. During that period I supervised individuals convicted of federal crimes in twenty one of the western counties of North Carolina. The last fifteen years of my career were spent supervising high risk sex offenders and individuals with severe mental health issues. During that period I worked closely with sex offender treatment providers and mental health agencies in Asheville, Arden, Hendersonville, Waynesville, Sylva, Bryson City and Boone. I have a total of twenty nine years investigative experience at the state and federal levels.
A requirement for the supervision of sex offenders by the U. S Probation Office for the Western District of North Carolina is that all sex offenders undergo a polygraph examination or other method of truth verification a minimum of two times per year. During the last fifteen years of my career I became very familiar with the polygraph examination process and decided to pursue it as a career.
After retirement from the United States Probation Office, I attended the Academy of Polygraph Science (APS) at Fort Myers, Florida where I was trained in conducting all phases of administering polygraph examinations. The Academy of Polygraph Science is accredited by the American Polygraph Association (APA) and is one of the premiere polygraph schools available in the United States. While at APS all examination techniques and procedures I learned have been research validated and are recognized as the most accurate of the testing techniques that are available.
In addition to performing polygraph exams I also conduct private investigations. My previous career as a probation officer required an extensive knowledge of investigative techniques as well as covert surveillance.
Whether you are a private citizen, an attorney, a law enforcement agency, a sex offender treatment provider, or an employer who has suffered a loss by an employee, I would consider it a privilege to provide my services to you.
