BELLOWS FORGE was founded in 1976 in Fredericksburg, Texas. For many years it operated as a partnership between Roy Bellows and his son Ezra Bellows, and much of the work in these pages is deeply indebted to Ezra. Bellows Forge is now located in Buda, Texas, and Roy Bellows is the sole proprietor. ROY BELLOWS studied drawing and painting with Warren Hunter at the La Villita School of Art in San Antonio, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Chicago. He learned the basics of blacksmithing from Frank Turley at Turley Forge in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
