Spacesix are a Glasgow Architects firm delivering services throughout Scotland. Spacesix Architects was formed in Glasgow in 2008 and quickly established a reputation for creating beautiful and unique buildings and spaces for commercial and residential clients both large and small.
The company's Managing Director and lead Chartered Architect, George Skinner (architect in Scotland), graduated with a BA (Hons) from the world-renowned Mackintosh School of Architecture in 2001.
He has worked with a number of Scotland's leading architectural practices and has overseen the completion of a diverse list of projects with budgets ranging from £15,000 to £110million.
Prestigious developments which George has led include The Hub at Pacific Quay in Glasgow, Govan Business Park, Dumbarton Retail Park, the refurbishment of the India of Inchinnan Tyre Factory and a retail and commercial development at Rutherglen Park.
He also created new showrooms and office spaces for a leading Scottish car-sales group. Since 2008, Spacesix Architects Scotland have designed and built one-off houses and extensions and overseen renovations for numerous residential clients.
In 2011 Spacesix Architects achieved worldwide recognition for its mold-breaking design of the £50,000 House, an eco-friendly modular concept created by Applegreen Homes. It will be displayed at the BRE Innovation Park in Ravenscraig, Motherwell, as well as at similar exhibitions in the USA and China.
