Studio 6 Music - Run By Musicians For Musicians - The philosophy behind recording at S6 is that we listen before we record. We like to offer a full music production service including a pre-production meeting where we discuss the music and explore how best to record it. We like to get to know the line up, listen to demo's (if available) and prepare the sessions to make the most effective use of the available studio time. Following the recording we can mix and master the work either with the band in attendance or provide updates online as the production evolves.

Alternatively, some of our bands prefer a "live session" option whereby they set up as a for a gig or rehearsal and we can provide a high quality recording which is ideal for well drilled, gigging bands that may need a demo quickly.

Being musicians ourselves we also know how difficult it is to make money out there and as well as keeping our costs as low as we can we offer bands great rates to buy CD's of their recordings which they can hopefully sell at a profit. As a Studio we will produce an album every year for artists who have recorded with us and distribute that to publishers and record companies we know.

As already said we also are keen on promoting tuition to anyone who is interested in learning either an instrument or sound engineering. Our teaching method is more around engaging people with music they care about as opposed to the more traditional theoretical approach of grades and scales. We believe if you enjoy the learning experience you will have a better chance of progression.

We are passionate about music and want to share this with people so once or twice a month we host impromptu session at the Studio where anyone can come over meet us.
