Powerscreen has been manufacturing screening equipment since 1966. In 1975 Powrscreen moved to Dungannon, Northern Ireland, where it is located today. It currently manufacturers mobile crushing, screening and washing equipemnt for use around the world. In the 1990 Powerscreen Group purchased Brown Lenox, a well-known and respected manufacturer of rock crushing equipment. Powerscreen Group then purchased Pegg & Son in 1996, a quarry equipment manufacturer.

Pegg & Son and Brown Lenox merged in 1997 to become BL-Pegson. In 1999 BL-Pegson and Powerscreen became two brands part of the Terex Corporation. In 2007 the marketing and sales functions of BL-Pegson and Powerscreen combined under Powrscreen brand, allowing their products and services to be united under the renowned Powerscreen name.
