Acute and chronic pain is a major health problem in the U.S. Back pain, migraines, pain related to trauma or illness, degenerative diseases--the many causes of pain are varied, and treatment must be individualized. Regardless of the cause, unremitting pain can result in stress that may diminish quality of life and health and can adversely affect work-life, relationships and human potential.
